Yes, you read the title right…I am doing a product launch without creating very much hype for it.

Product launch suicide some would say, and yes I am well aware of the potential I am giving up by not building up very much pre-launch hype.  So why would I do this? 

Well because I’m actually tired of all the hype. You see, there are so many products available today that are all “Hype’d up” at their product launch so they will sell on launch date.  It is a very smart marketing methodology but the products that have been released have seemed to be of dimishing qualities.  It is pretty much just the hype that is being sold and as a bonus for paying the customer receives a product of relatively poor quality.

Now obviously this isn’t always the case as their has been some excellent products released…but it seems as if many people are testing their marketing tactics without having a product to back up their promises. 

So what I am going to do is showg that quality does still sell!  Actually, quality is more important than hype because higher quality products greatly decrease buyer remorse and increases the potential for future transactions with that customer.  If a product is all hyped up initially and doesn’t actually provide very much quality, do you think the customer would want to purchase anything else in the future from the seller/developer?  Definately not!!

It’s strange to look at how marketing has developed over the past say 5 years.  Thanks to the Internet information is widely available, so now everyone has the ability to access the same information as everyone else (well in the public domain atleast).  This has allowed some smaller businesses to thrive just like the big corporations do as they can now use the same or similar marketing tactics (just usually at a smaller scale due to the costs involved).

Pretty soon I will disclose more of my new product.  But let’s just say for now that you will learn alot from it!  I have been working on it since early summer 2007 and the quality really shows!  If you market a businesses, products, or services, you will definitely want to read what I will be releasing!
