List Building Doesn't Have To Be Hard, But It Is Very Important For Your Future Success!
I'm sure you know that list building is very important in order to really succeed online. This I don't argue with because it is the absolute truth. The better the list you have, the more sales you will make and the more profit you will get in your bank account!
Hold on though: Stop and read through the previous paragraph again and see if you can notice the very important lesson hidden within it. It only comes from one word...but it is absolutely essential that you realize and understand the lesson as it can help you drastically improve your future list results.

Okay great, now look at the word "better", and think of why I didn't just say bigger or larger instead? You know that the larger the list the more profit you will make, so does better not mean larger in a list building context?
I say no it doesn't because a better list doesn't necessarily mean that it is a bigger list, it simply means that it is a more responsive list. One marketer may have a list of 10,000 people and a mailing they make may only receive a 3% response rate. This means that only 300 of the people on the list respond to the offer. Now lets say that another marketer has a highly responsive smaller list with a whopping 10% response rate to an offer (These are highly interested individuals). With a list of only 5000, 500 people would respond!
How do you get high response rates to your email lists?
Provide interesting content with material that is consistently relevant to what the people on your list are interested in learning about. Don't get off topic too much as you want to build the trust of your list members. By building their trust, your recommendations will actually mean more to them and they will truly look into the items you recommend.
This probably seems very basic, but it is overlooked all the time and credibility is lost as a result. When your list members feel that your content is no longer relevant to their needs, they will opt-out and you will no longer be able to contact them. You now see see why this is so important right?
Now you know to contact your list with consistently relevant and interesting content and/or products, but how do you actually build your list of interested individuals?

In order to really succeed in business, whether it be in online or offline form, a customer list is a necessity. Sure you can create a business by doing the necessary research, building a website or renting a location, and opening up your business to customers but to really succeed you need repeat visitors.
Repeat visitors only come if they are happy with the service they receive and the products they purchase so why not make them happy with your service and offer quality products? Believe it or not, this is a major flaw for thousands of businesses.
It doesn't matter if your selling your own product or if you are selling a product as an affiliate, you should only promote quality products. Doing so will make your customers or your referrals happy and they will view you as a person they can trust.

So what does all this have to do with list building? Well, if you think about it for just a minute you will probably see that the success of a business doesn't necessarily rely on the list itself. It's the list that rely's on the expertise of the business/person behind the list.
People join email lists for a reason, they either want information, or they have a problem that they think the email series will be able to answer. If the email series does indeed meet the persons needs then they will trust your opinion. This is important because you can then promote other relevant products and they will seriously consider the product because you recommended it!
I trust you now see just how your success can lie with your customer list. So if you already have a list, begin to gain their trust and you will see drastic improvements in your future earnings from that list. Don't merely send them ad after ad as you will see that you won't receive very good results! If you do not have a list currently, then you need to act now and begin getting one.
